Who remembers the pale blue and white morris minor ‘Panda Cars’ with the ‘Police sign on the roofs in the 1960s, and the identically presented one, belonging to David Crooks, a Jeweller and Antique Dealer of Gardner Street, on which he had mounted a similarly constructed illuminated sign, saying ‘Crooks’.
The poor Police had a sense of humour failure and threatened to prosecute him for it.
