I have an old map (1795) “Map of the Vicinity of Brighthelmstone”. I have noticed that Moulsecoombe is written as Mousecomb, and next to it a place called Hadshurst. I can not find any information on Hadshurst, or Moulsecoombe being called Mousecomb? I was wondering perhaps if anyone may have any insight? I thought maybe it could be an amateur map as there are quite a few different spellings .
