According to the 1939 register, where my Mom’s name was just unlocked, she worked as a bakery assistant. I never knew what she did at that time so I am thrilled to find this out as she was always a fabulous cook. My question is, does anyone know the names of bakeries in the Portslade-by-Sea or Hove area in 1939? Thanks for any assistance!
