A friend in Spain has an uncaptioned photograph of what may be a Brighton & Hove Albion footballer, taken by H Edwards in his Lewes Road, Brighton studio. Can anyone tell me when this business started and finished please. This may help us to identify the footballer. He is wearing a vertically striped shirt (may be blue and white, but it’s a black and white photo!. It has a lace front, dark band around the neck, no collar as such, and one of the dark stripes is centrally placed down the front. This seems to restrict it to certain years of Albion’s history (1925-26 perhaps?) Any ideas please?
