I have been researching my Father’s family history. He was born in 1885 in Plaw Hatch, East Grinstead (I am his daughter from his second marriage in 1945). I have been trying to find out whether Plaw Hatch was a hamlet or suburb of East Grinstead but without success. I can only find a farm which is current and a house once owned by William Arbuthnot in the 1800s. Can anyone enlighten me further?
