There have been previous answers concerning this but if anyone has any knowledge or information on this ground that existed certainly in the 1870’s just North of what is known as the Pepper Pot (and St Lukes church) Id be grateful. My parental home is at about Mid Wicket (Bizzarely I used to play cricket in the garden and pretend the whole allotment was a cricket ground even though I was unaware of its history)
