My great grandfather was the publican from 1910 to 1931 – he was John Jackson the man who set up Brighton and Hove Albion and was its first manager and coach. I wonder if anyone has or knows of a picture of the Running Horse (now demolished). My mother Kathleen Shephard grew up there.
