Russell Square by Tony Allan 10 February 2008Does anybody now of a photograph of 14 Russell Square my Gt.Gt. Aunt lived there in the late 1880’s3 replies Re: Russell Square by Dave Phillips 11 February 2008Hi Tony, I hope that you are successful in your quest as my gggrandparents had a lodging house in Russell Square in the 1800’s and I to would like to see a photo of that Square in those times. I think that their building went with the modernisation of the square. I would presume that the remaining buildings are pretty much the same as then but, I wonder, were all of the buildings in the square the same ? Sorry this wasn’t actually any help but anyway goodluck Dave Re: Russell Square by Dave Phillips 13 February 2008Hi again Tony, a bit more info;- if you type in the above in the search area you will find info and photos of the Square with one picture in particular of number 11 taken in 1940. Dave Re: Russell Square by Sally Stone 13 October 2008I believe a relative of mine lived at 14 Russell Square round about this time. His surname was Meads and he had a bakery at 4 Russell Square. I have a photo of the bakery but unfortunately not of number 14. Would you happen to know if the numbering of the square has changed at all?
