Does anyone remember a dance school at the very top of St Mary’s Place? Myself and several friends used to attend in the fifties. I am sure the dance teacher was Molly Calder. We all dreamed of being in the local pantomime at the Hippodrome. We were all very poor and it was a great sacrifice from our families to pay the 2 Shillings a week.
