Does the old Lawns Hotel still operate as a Hotel and if so under what name?
We have found an exerts in the London Gazette, 20th May 1983, stating Gladys Millicent Gates, Widow, died on the 18th of March 1983, which states her address at the time of death “The Lawns Hotel, Kingsway, Hove, East Sussex) Was Gladys one of the 25 full-time residents of the Hotel? Does anyone know where these records could be found?
We are looking for living descendants Gladys Millicent Gates and her Husband George Brian Gates who passed in September 1975. Our interest stems from my wife, Amanda Gregory Haynes, daughter of Angela Marguerite Haynes (formally Gates) who was the estranged daughter of Gladys Millicent Gates (formally Evans) and George Brian Gates.
Amanda Gregory Haynes was born in and still resides in Western Australia.
