Does this Football Team strike home(!) to anyone? I am 73 now but when I was a kid our family heard little else at home because our Dad was Percy Brooke and he was Secretary of the club. It was my duty at one tome to deliver the cards to all the local players telling them that they had been selected to play that weekend. I well recall the green and white hoops and the name Maskelyne has just popped into my memory box. We also had the Dieppe Cup on display in our front room on Whitehawk Road at one time. I went to most of the matches (not necessarily willingly) in East Brighton Park and some times we went on a 52 seater charabanc to away games. No not a common old coach as you would call it today…these were charabancs!!!
