My Grandfather Walter Alexander Chapman was a blind (from age 8)musician who played piano at the Fitters Arms where his father Walter Chapman was the licensee for more than 20 years, until his death in 1925. He also took his piano onto the streets of Brighton, busking for a living. Walter Alexander was also a piano tuner.
One reads of a ‘Blind Johnny’ who supposedly played there. Has this been documented somewhere?
