From: Letter in the AtticIn her diary entries for July 16th and 17th MMB writes in 1940 that bombs were dropped in Brighton and Hove On the 17th July 1940 MMB went to ARP (Air Raid Protection) practice but so few people turned up they didn’t have one! In 1944 a flying bomb was shot down near Southsea.
