It also reports that he was handed over to the military and went from there (Brighton?) to Chichester where he was Court Martialled. Summons to appear before the Court of Summary Jurisdiction on the 28th of March 1944 for failing to register as a Fire Warden LIA/24/5/2Court summons which states that AMS did not comply with The Fire Guard (Local Authority Services) Order 1943. It appears that his transgression was that he failed to register as a Fire Guard initially and the above order required everyone who was registerable to inform the Town Hall within 21 days that he had not ...
