Rottingdean – Brighton carriers

Taylor’s branched out into horse boxes along with the carrier business and established Taylor’s Coaches of Rottingdean. The coaches were white and were kept very spick and span.

My ‘Uncle Fred’ (Taylor) drove the horse boxes and latterly the coaches.  The coach garage was in the middle of the village. His brother Thomas (Jim) Taylor was Mayor of Brighton in 1968.
