I only attended for six months at St Nicholas School, and they were very happy times for me. This class photo dates from July 1949.
Top row
I am standing in the top row on the extreme left. On the top row 3rd from left is Michael Miles(?). At the other end of the top row on the right is John Gander and next to him is Jimmy Corrigan.
Second row
In the second row (the girls) 4th from the left is Joyce Retallick, whose parents had an ironmongers shop on Station Road in Portslade. We used to take her dog for a walk after school.
Bottom row
On the bottom row 4th from the right is my Queen from the school play.
Other class mates who I cannot recognise are: Rosemary Ellender, Marion Mornington, Anita Hughes, S. Growstock, Carol Sharp, Jill Hooton, Eileen Ayling, Jean Blaber.
