  • I was very interested to find that the Aquarium had the largest display tank in the world, because my great-great uncle used to collect sea water for the Aquarium. He was a fisherman in Brighton at the end of the 19th century and early 20th century.

  • These days the record is now in China. ‘Chimelong Ocean Kingdom’ also hold the records for “largest underwater viewing dome, largest aquarium tank, largest aquarium window and largest acrylic panel”, Guinness Book of World Records reports. The aquarium boasts a total water volume of 12.87 million gallons.
