People's History of The Level

The People’s History of the Level oral history project is part of the wider Level Restoration Project and is financed by the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery Fund.

Our purpose is to record memories of The Level and to create an archive that can be used for publications, websites, exhibitions, further research and community events. These following sections are the result of research carried out to find out more about the history and heritage of the park. When you open it, each page allows you to add your comments. Please do share with us your own personal memories of this very important place.
