Can anyone identify where this photograph was taken? The main subject matter is probably an outing of a Brighton boy’s orphanage at the end of the First World War, or possible a little later – the Land For Sale notice at the back is the only clue. It is faintly possible that the area was in what is now Hollingdean?

Do you know which orphanage it was and where it was located?
Interestingly the Goldstone ground was leased from the Stanford Estate by Clark of Clark’s Bakery. There is a chance therefore that this photo was taken at the perimeter of the Goldstone Ground (north-east corner with Old Shoreham Road?).
