Stuffed rats

“I first visited the Royal Pavilion with the school, and I liked the kitchen best, because of the hugeness of the building. Really, the best thing is the postcard I saw of it being an operating theatre in the First World War. It was very gory – somebody taking somebody’s appendix out!”
