A WW2 photographer Brighton

Sgt Stanley Rodwell, 28 September 1944
From a private collection

In September 1944, my father, who was in an anti-aircraft unit stationed at Romney Marsh, sent home a photograph of himself to my mother. A stamp on the reverse shows that it was taken by John Andrews, Photographer, whose business is given as at 34d Middle Street, Brighton.

Do you recognise the location?

Maybe some of your members remember that photographer who in the 1939 Register was living in 64-66 Regency Square, a hotel owned by Violet Taylor, later Carr. Does anyone recognise the location of the photograph, or did Mr Andrews travel around taking photographs of soldiers where they were stationed?
