Diamond Jubilee Royal visit to Brighton and Hove

Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex, paid an official Diamond Jubilee visit to Brighton & Hove and the County of East Sussex this week. Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed to East Sussex and the City of Brighton & Hove by the Lord Lieutenant, Mr Peter Field.

The royal visitors attended a luncheon at The Amex Stadium and met students who have participated in Albion in the Community Projects, The Coaching for Safer Community Programme, and the National Literacy Words for Work Programme, they also visited the Julie Hodder Cup and AITC Disability Programme.

In the evening the Earl and Countess attended a dinner at the Royal Pavilion which was hosted by the Royal Pavilion and Museums Foundation. The dinner was also attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Bill Randall and Mrs Heather Randall.
