K9 Challenge - Sunday September 8th

K9 Challenge - Stanmer Park
K9Challenge Facebook

K9 Challenge is the running event for dog lovers, but we also welcome walkers for those who prefer a more gentle woodland walk (and that’s just the dogs!). The 5km woodland trail brings together people of all abilities – and their pooches – for a fun, inclusive event. Unlike the sport of Canicross (running with dogs), entrants to the K9 Challenge can run, jog or walk with their dog on a normal lead, rather than a specific running harness (as long as the dog is comfortable).

This year’s event will see over 100 happy dogs and their running partners complete a 5km trail course through the grassed and wooded areas of the beautiful Stanmer Park in Brighton. This isn’t a timed event or a race, the concept is about taking part, bringing two communities together and rewarding your dog at the end!

Goodies for walkers and dogs

Runners and walkers will receive a K9 Challenge medal and a cloth bag full of goodies, whilst their dogs will receive a matching K9 Challenge collar tag, edible treats and a bandana to wear with pride, all included in the entry price of £18!’

Raising funds for ‘Support Dogs’

K9 Challenge has chosen to raise funds for the National Charity ‘Support Dogs’, with the event partnering with Natures Menu True Instinct, a high quality dry raw meat product for dogs. New for 2019 will be the introduction of Fun Pop Up Dog Agility, with local experts Dog Club providing free have a go session. There will be food and drink available at the event, as well as representatives from the partner charity Support Dogs, not forgetting the doggy bar & bath for dogs to cool down!
