People's Day 2013

People’s Day is a community event to celebrate the diverse communities of Brighton & Hove. The city centre is transformed into a street festival showcasing different activities from various communities across the city. This year there were performances, food stalls, an Older People’s Zone, the City College Country Fayre Zone and the Eco Technology Show. A Health and Wellbeing Zone with stalls sponsored by Brighton Fashion Week was a popular stop. In other words there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Denise Cobb and Mace Bearer Robert Robertson in their ceremonial robes, attended the day and visited many of the events and stalls. They certainly were a great source of interest to the thousands of visitors and residents at the event.
